Aya Al Sabahi.
I’m a Master’s student in Entertainment Technology with a background in computer science, focused on bridging the gap between user needs, design, and implementation to help teams move from idea to impactful interactive experiences.
Rapid Prototyping & Systems Thinking: I specialize in rapid prototyping, turning ideas into functional experiences that bridge design and engineering while leveraging my understanding of computer graphics and distributed systems to ensure performance and scalability.
User-Centered Design & Research: I uncover what users actually need and translate those insights into clear, actionable design decisions so teams build the right product from the start.
Cross-Cultural Audience Awareness: I help teams design experiences that resonate across diverse audiences by accounting for cultural context, behavior, and interpretation.
Together, I act as the missing link that helps teams stay user-focused, prototype faster, and create experiences that work for the people they’re built for.
I’m currently the lead prototyper for SoKids, a research-driven, play-based interactive system that uses touchscreen games to study how preschoolers categorize social categories while supporting developmental psychology research through natural, engaging interactions.
